The Opportunity

We're working with a growing and highly respected financial services organisation seeking an experienced Pensions Operations Administrator to join their Liverpool-based team.

This is a hands-on operational role supporting the administration of pension schemes, with a particular focus on SIPP and SSAS arrangements. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring operational processes are completed accurately, efficiently, and in line with FCA regulatory requirements.

This is not a customer service or call centre position. We're looking for someone who has genuine experience processing pension administration work within a regulated financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and maintain operational changes across pension schemes
  • Support the administration of Terms of Business (TOB) agreements
  • Manage adviser and agency changes accurately and within agreed SLAs
  • Maintain accurate client, adviser and scheme records
  • Assist with complaints administration, investigations and tracking
  • Monitor workflows, case queues and outstanding actions
  • Ensure all activities are completed in line with regulatory requirements and internal procedures
  • Support internal audits, quality assurance and compliance activities
  • Investigate and resolve operational issues and exceptions
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and operational projects
  • Liaise with advisers, clients and third parties to obtain information and documentation

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience working within Pensions Administration
  • Strong understanding of SIPP and/or SSAS pensions
  • Experience working within a regulated Financial Services environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Experience maintaining accurate records and audit trails
  • Confident communicating with advisers, clients and internal stakeholders

Please Note

Candidates must have previous Pensions Administration experience with SIPP and/or SSAS exposure. Applications from candidates with only customer service, contact centre, banking, investment operations or general administration backgrounds will not be considered.

What's on Offer?

  • Salary of £27,000 - £32,000 depending on experience
  • Hybrid working model
  • Central Liverpool location
  • Supportive and collaborative team environment
  • Opportunity to join a growing financial services business
  • Immediate start available

If you're an experienced pensions professional looking for your next opportunity within a fast-paced and regulated environment, we'd love to hear from you.
