People Administrator

Immediate Start

We are supporting a valued client in recruiting a proactive, highly organised People Administrator to join a fast‑paced, high‑energy People team on a temporary basis for 8-12 weeks. This is an office‑based role in Elland (HX5) and requires someone who can start immediately.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support across HR, Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition, and Communications within the UK, while also collaborating with colleagues across a global People function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver end‑to‑end administration for onboarding, contractual changes, and leavers

  • Maintain accurate employee records across HRIS and time & attendance platforms

  • Support the transition of offline administrative tasks into the HR system, ensuring smooth adoption and answering queries in person, via Teams video calls, Teams chat, and occasional phone calls

  • Track, update, and audit employee data to ensure accuracy and compliance

  • Collate, check, and submit monthly payroll data; resolve pay‑related queries

  • Act as the initial point of contact for HR and system queries across all levels of the business

  • Oversee shared inboxes, trackers, and documentation libraries

  • Support the rollout and administration of a new HR platform

  • Assist with data reporting, policy updates, and evolving People team initiatives

About You

  • Experience with HR systems
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail

  • Confident using Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook

  • Comfortable working across multiple systems and learning new platforms quickly

  • Able to handle confidential information with absolute discretion

  • Resilient, adaptable, and calm under pressure

  • Professional, approachable communicator who engages well with others

  • A collaborative team player who contributes positively to team culture

  • HR or payroll administration experience is beneficial but not essential

Working Hours & Environment

  • 37.5 hours per week (8.5‑hour day including 1‑hour unpaid break)

  • Flexible start times between 06:30-10:00

  • Finish between 15:00-18:30, depending on start time

  • Office‑based role with occasional travel for collaboration or events

  • Busy, collaborative, people‑focused workspace

Pay & Benefits

  • £13.66-£14 per hour

  • Free on‑site parking
