The Opportunity
This is a true HR Advisor position, offering a broad generalist remit with a strong focus on employee relations. You'll work closely with operational managers across the site, providing pragmatic, commercially sound HR support while remaining highly visible within the business.
With significant ER exposure, this role will suit someone who enjoys managing complex cases, influencing decision-making, and embedding best practice across a manufacturing workforce.
The role follows a hybrid model of 4 days on-site and 1 day from home, ensuring you remain connected to operations while benefiting from flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted HR Advisor, providing day-to-day support on all people-related matters
- Manage a high-volume ER caseload, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence, and performance management
- Deliver clear, practical, and commercially focused HR advice to line managers
- Coach and support managers to improve confidence and capability in handling employee relations issues
- Ensure consistent application of company policies and full compliance with UK employment legislation
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and general HR operations
- Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives
About You
- Proven experience in an HR Advisor role, ideally within manufacturing, industrial, or engineering environments
- Strong background in employee relations, with the ability to manage cases independently
- Solid understanding of UK employment law
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders
- Resilient, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, operational setting
- CIPD L5 qualified
